amazon aws free tier 搭建 pptp vpn 报错，可能有哪些原因？

我按照下面的教程，注册了amazon aws free tier

最后用生成的vpn帐号密码，在osx里面创建pptp vpn连接，在server address里面填上
amazon给我的public dns，而不是ip地址，对不对？但是提示server not respond。那
个脚本写得有没有问题？我google了一下，有些文章说pptp被封了，但是有人说没有
封。大家遇到过这个问题吗？
我把刚才创见的instance删掉，launch新的，在community ami里面找了free tier能用
的ubuntu 10.04的image，在ssh -i 阶段提示connection time out，换了好几个image
都是这样，但是用默认的ami就能ssh连接上，怎么回事？
